South Jeddah Corniche Desalination Plant (Sojeco)

SOJECO is sea water desalination plant located along Jeddah South Corniche and adjacent to JIC2 (Jeddah Industrial City 2) approximately 25 km from King Faisal Western Naval Base. The size of plant land is 22,000 m2 consisting  of water desalination plant building including (reject, break tanks, 7 Ton overhead crane, electrical and control rooms), four product water tanks with capacity of 10,000 meter cube, accommodation building , power generation Plant, water filing stations, dispatch center, security guards Posts and parking lot. The desalination plant will be operated 24 hours a day (52 weeks a year). The operation of the plant implemented with a 10,000 m3/day desalination capacity by 2011 .

R.O system configuration:

Desalination system consists of 10 beach wells raw seawater intake system, Micro filtration (MF) system adopted for RO pretreatment, SWRO system composed of 4 operating units each unit including 30  6-element pressure vessels,' Boron Removal system composed of 4 operating units. Each unit includes 6 6-element pressure vessels , chemical dosing system and control room.
